Tips…

Dry?- A fun trick is to mix honey with sugar and salt ( about 1 TBL spoon each equal parts) and give yourself an at home scrub in the kitchen sink-(just turn on the hot water to melt everything away down the drain when you clean up:)) then if you really want to go old school smear Vaseline on em and rubber glove em up- a plastic bag and a sock over them will do the trick too!!) Or you can massage my Fav into your hands by  L’Occitane Shea Butter hand cream.. A little goes a long way! Bliss has a whole Hand treatment kit for the not make-It-yourself-At-homers- I’ve used this kit too and Love It!!

(Push back your cuticles after treatment and file nails BEFORE you scrub)

Nails- Boy oh Boy have the nail applications taken off!  We have stickers by OPI (you seriously just cut and stick em’ on and they last for at least 4 days) We have Sally Hansens’ Salon effects Real nail polish strips(10 day wear)- Nail polish that you can peel off (they still make it *Sulla make’s it:) - Then we have the New Gel nail polish that you have painted on at a nail salon and then they dry under a light dryer(kinda like the false nail dryer)and they last until you go back and pick a new gel or they grow out…. and then there is the good ol’ fashion paint on and let dry kind-My fav. of the paint and let dry is OPI!!!

Either way you do it— DO IT!! We use our hands all the time and it’s a little piece of happy when we peek down and see tiger stripes,glitter,bright Red or shine peeking back at us:)

It Color- Marigold or a Beige Grey..Hey opposites attract:)

Finding the light!

January—-

January is the time that we live up to the expectations of our New Year Resolutions! Mine is funny:) I ask myself “What would 81 year old Tiffany think?” She often tells me to go for it! Live the life I want and to not be afraid of my false control -I always loose tract of:)While tending to my 4yr old and my Hubby I forget Me:)

I love Make-up and hair and clothes and I love the way I feel when I take the time to take care of Me:)

I whiten my teeth when I’m in the shower… Cleanse and mask my face when the kiddo is in the bath at night.

Organize the laundry when the hubby is on a run and put my make-up on in the 10min before I run out the door(Never forget the gloss!!!! Never forget my earrings-great for distracting sometimes)

We all are doing our best.We all want to feel beautiful. There is opportunity everywhere and at any time. Take care of You and don’t forget your gloss:) HAHAAHHA! my Fav.. Diors gloss in any sparkly color:)

Winter Love yourself:)

All right now’s the time to exfoliate,moisturize and shine:) We can fade away into the dreary cold Grey if not!

Tips to keep a lightside perspective:)

1. When you are shopping Do Not go for the dark(name that item) Choose Color. I know its hard- I talk myself out of buying Black and Grey all of the time. But, if you choose color you will feel happy seeing it and look better wearing it:) A colored scarf can make cheeks glow and eyes sparkle!!!

2.Wear Earrings that have an impact Gold,Sparkle,Shiny silver ect.. This addition to your outfit will shine up even the  boring “Must wear Uniform” Or if you are wearing black this can be the “Just what you needed” and since its right by your face and hair if you are wearing a chandelier earring or larger pair-you’ll have no real need for a hair accessory and you can go light on the make-up for the evening out:)

3.Rosy Cheeks- Keep that sweet disposition with a cream blush- I love all the Stila Convertible Compacts!! My Fav. Peony and Poppy!!! tap your finger pad  in the product and pop on the apples of each cheek and blend into the skin for a “Glow from within”look:)

4. Exfoliate and Moisturize.. In the shower you can use exfoliating gloves,sugar,or a salt pre-made scrub. Out of the shower a light moisturizer All Over!! This will keep you from looking dull/ashy and from feeling itchy:)

My Favorites are- Trish McEvoy sugar scrub in Blackberry Vanilla and Moisturizer by Origins called Precipitation(this comes in a 32oz with a pump-great for the whole winter:)!!!!

 If you can escape the Winter chill and are going to instant warm,sunshine and sandy beaches here are a few tips to keep you looking Cool:)

1. Remember an exfoliant- plane rides and temp changes cause ruddy skin and clogged up pores. my three Faves! 1. Ren Glycolic Peel( no scrubbing needed!) 2. Dermalogoca Micro Derm powder(mix a little with water and gently scrub)3. Dr Gross MD peel Pads( 2 steps- this has an active pad and then a neutralizing one) and for body a simple exfoliant body glove is great!

2. Sun Screen face and body- For face- if your moisturizer has some in it ..great! then add a booster- Khiels has a face spf50 that you can mix into your moisturizer and then mid day apply a sunscreen powder- IS Clinical makes a sheer one or my Fav. Chantecaille spf 46 in bronze(add color:) and for Body Khiels spf 40 lotion and spf 25 spray!! It is the bestBEST!! No breakouts and completely saturates into the skin!

Basic Must Haves: A great headband,large gold earrings(I love hoops) bobby pins,Tinted moisturizer spf15 by  (my Fav.)Gloss with spf(I love Y.S,L Pur shine spf lipstick sheer,smells and tastes great and really any color works:)),24hr water,sweat proof Trish McEvoy shadow/liner, Creme Blush by Stila (I love Peony or poppy) and a waterproof Mascara- CoverGirl Lash Blast or Y.S.L waterproof Faux Cils!! and please don’t forget your Nails OPI Coral,Neon Pink or Navy!!

Sunny Mood Is Fashion Presents!!!!! September 30th at 7pm at The Hard Rock Cafe!!

Light Black-

This is my version of saying “Seattle Grey”.  We intend to ‘Bring on!’ all sorts of color and inspiration. I’m introducing some Fabulous designers across the West coast sharing On Trend Fashion in a comfortable/playful way!

Make-up Trends to follow for Fall/Winter!

Chocolate eyes and pink cheeks/ lips..Urban Decay has a must have neutrals pallet complete with every chocolate taupe and ivory tones that have the very best sued texture. Y.S.L (of coarse my favorite line in lipsticks) have the sweetest pinks and use color Poppy blush by Stila- this will complete the look.

Charcoal Eyes and Tangerine/Orange lips…. This look is Sexy. Sexy. Hot. Try Print eye shadow  and You Say Tomato Lipstick… By MAC!!!! Wowzzza! Simply use your finger to blend shadow all over lid and use your pinkie to spread shadow under your lower lash line for a smoky “you pulled an all nighter” kinda look:) next use the lipstick straight from the tube.. for a lighter lip look.. spread chap stick on and then tap the color on your bottom lip and blend for a “Hint” of Tangerine:)

Glossy Ivory Eyes and Purple Lips…This look is a “Good girl gone very bad”:) you want to be sure you have a great foundation finish for this look since the lips will be very dramatic and in a “LOOK AT ME” tone. My Favorite flawless foundation finish is from Make-up Forever HD foundation…. Photo and close up ready:)this foundation is  not heavy with that semi matte finish. Next, get an Ivory cream shadow and blend on upper lid(careful not to go all the way up to the brow bone) and for cheeks use a soft toned bronzer(not too brown I love Hula Hula by Benefit) and then the purple lips!! use liner!! I am Loving Y.S.L’s Rouge Volupte Perel in #106 with liner #14 blackberry!!

Light and Bright * I am Loving Summer and all the colors that come out to play.

If you haven’t played with color yet- you are on a short leash now- Sooooo find your inspiration and run with it!

Indigo blue liner(Y.S.L #5) and Coral Gloss(MAC Wondershine) are good starters. If  you are feeling feisty try a colored Mascara. Purple is my Fav. (Y.S.L #4) Just the right amount of color for a pop but, not from the 80’s kinda look.

Skin care- Have these three things on hand at all times…1 -Fresh SPF 15 Sugar lip treatment-moisturizes,soothes and protects+ it tastes and smells like lemon sugar YUM!, 2- IS Clinical or Chantecaille SPF powder-who wants to smear SPF cream all over their already make-upped face?? These  two transparent/tinted powders will refresh your” look” plus protect your skin from aging UVA and burning UVB rays..need I say more? 3-Origins Checks and Balances facial cleanser.. Ohhh so soothing and gentile, kills the blemish forming bacteria and helps balance your skins PH- your skin will say “Ahhhhhhh!”

Make-up Melt Proof-

1- Tinted moisturizer is your friend for the summer. My Favorites are Aveda,Korres, and Tarte. 2-Water proof Mascara MAC and Covergirl Lash blast are best. 3-Mind your mouth with a gloss, balm or lipstick with a tint and an SPF- My all time FAV. Y.S.L Rouge Pur shine- It’s glossy and full bodied and comes in all sheer colors with a kick! (I love Pink Lychee!)

Body-

Exfoliate/moisturize and protect.

Shower-get a loofah,scrub gloves or a sugar scrub and keep your skin fresh-My Favorite scrub always is Trish McEvoy’s Sugar Blackberry Vanilla scrub. Moisturize- Aveno has great affordable moisturizers that will address all sorts of skin issues,Dry,Red,irritated ect…..3- Find a sunscreen that meets your needs. I have a 4year old so Coppertone’s Water Babies spf 50 Quick Cover lotion spray works in a pinch but, for me I love Dermalogica Water Block SPF 30 for my body and Prevage SPF Day for my face moisturizer!!!!

Dermalogica sunscreen spf 20 wipes(almost like baby wipes but saturated with sunscreen!!!) Summer time is coming<squeal> but for now we have our spring showers to deal with:)

Use this time to shed your winter-coat. If you have not had a cut and color for a bit(Holidays can be tight) IT’S TIME!!

Allover color and some highlights can be just the pep in your step that you needed.. Or get yourself a trim and a colorshine. What is that you ask? It is about the same tone as your hair but has many many multidimensional gloss infusions that give you that “Oh so perfect sheen”.

Speaking of sheen my New Favorite gloss is by  KORRES.  I never thought I’d find that “Stay at home Mom” Glam in a Gloss!!

Listen MOMS ARE HOT TOO!! and we can be with this gloss:) They are incredibaly sheer but with a non sticky approach to gloss and are totally kissable!! I love the Cherry color..looks bright in tube only!!
